My main objective as part of the Fit Ferret Team is to share my passion and knowledge about how the human body works.
After completing my undergraduate degree in biology I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do for a career. I have been dancing since I was about 3 years old, and always wanted a job that incorporated my passion for movement with my love of science.
With the magic of the internet I was able to achieve exactly that by obtaining my master’s degree in kinesiology online through the Arizona School of Health Science. Studying in this program really piqued my interest in functional movement and rehabilitative exercise, which led me to pursing my ACE certification in Orthopedic Exercise and AFPA certification in Post-Rehabilitative Exercise.
Just as I was finishing my degree, Dan asked me to join his fitness blog, which I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of. I hope that the Fit Ferret Team as a whole inspires you, challenges you, and educates you about your overall health and wellbeing.
One of my favorite quotes that I find to be relevant in every aspect of our lives is by author Carlos Castenda, “We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.”
