Personal training is available to any who are within traveling distance of The Fit Ferret (Marlborough, MA.) Training can be done in the comfort of your home or at an outdoor location. The Fit Ferret travels with equipment and can also teach you new and fun ways to use your own! Live too far away for personal training? Never fear! Digital training is also an option!

By training with The Ferret, you get more than a routine to follow and an instructor to bark at you. You get an in-depth education that is built with the understanding that change can only be made permanent with knowledge and understanding. With your individualized program, you receive a quality education based on the three pillars of The Fit Ferret’s programing.

Fitness Science: Understanding why we move our bodies and how the body responds to various stimuli from balance and stability to strength and muscle size. Anyone can move and follow a routine. But what if you understood the building blocks of the routine? What if you could identify the response that would follow every action you took? Your investments in fitness would pay their dividends not just with the instant results, but the understanding of how to continue long after you have parted ways with The Ferret.

Nutrition 101: Let’s face it, with all the fad diets out there and misinformation, it can be really tough to not only know what to do, but understand it at all. The Ferret strongly dislikes the fad diet world, the word “diet” isn’t meant to illustrate a temporary change, it is simply what it is; what you eat. This approach to nutrition is not a fad diet. It is education made simple on how food reacts in our body and how to make wiser choices when it comes to fueling your life. That’s it! No strict guidelines, just brain food, and as we all know, knowledge is power!

The Psychology of Change: As part of The Ferret’s programming, your education is not complete unless the changes you are committing to now, are the lifestyle changes of tomorrow. Body composition changes when we alter our fitness levels and nutritional intake. But what happens when we stop doing the things that introduced the change and revert to old habits and ways? The answer is simple: If our behavior changes, so does our body. That means, both ways. So stop yo-yoing on the weight train and learn how to not just workout and what to eat, but how to change your life as a whole.

Single Sessions
Just want to buy a single session? Looking to tack on a few more sessions to your package without opting into the minimum amount? This is for you! If purchased with or after a package you will continue to receive the same packaged training. Looking to build your own package out of single sessions? You can do that here too!

 

Digital Single Sessions
Same as above, you can add individual sessions to your digital package, or build your own digital package from single sessions.

 

Digital Single Workout Programs
This is for anyone who just wants a killer routine made by The Fit Ferret himself! Video demonstration of the exercises in the routine can also be provided at an extra cost.

 

Personal Programs
The Fit Ferret also designs custom programs built towards your goals, needs, and wants that can be cost efficient at the expense of physical presence of a trainer. A typical package involves a rotating workout schedule, weekly check-ins with goal tracking, nutrition tracking and advice, and question and answer. Of course, since it is personal, The Ferret can build a program that WORKS FOR YOU!

Training Packages

Our packages are set up in a manner to maximize habit retention, ergo, 6 month intervals. Credits inside packages are figured into frequency of training between once a week and three times in a week, more, or less is also an option!

Beginners Sampler
This is the perfect package if you are unsure about training or what its benefits could be for you. This package is not broken into the typical 6 month retention rubric, and instead is a 4 session course. This will allow you to get 4 quality workouts either over the course of one week, or once a week for a month.

The Lobo’s Package
Have a good base of knowledge and training already? Looking for a new and challenging workout once a month, or even once a week to add to your regimens and get a fresh perspective on your training? Then this is for you. Reduced cost due to less trainer involvement, but the same quality workouts delivered to you with the same quality care.

Beginners Package
Have some fitness goals in mind? Are you ready to make the commitment to yourself and take control of your life, changing physical activity from an occasional activity to a part of your life routine? This is the package for you. Based off the 6 month retention theory you will be equipped with enough credits to turn your new behavior into a once a week endeavor or up to three times a week! You will receive the knowledge essential to maintaining your lifestyle as well as nutritional guidance to help you hit all of your goals while starting your journey.

The most intensive package: Are you an athlete or weekend warrior looking to step up their game with coaching and a program built towards honing your skills and abilities? Then this is the package for you! Being a former collegiate athlete and current obstacle race competitor, The Fit Ferret understands the demands put on the body by competition of all styles. Do you need more speed? Endurance? Strength? Size? Power? Trying to be quicker? Tell us your goal and let us push you there and further! This package includes the usual training regimen, plus instruction on what to do with your active-recovery / down-time days along with practiced tried and true methods of pushing athleticism to the next level. This package is figured into 3 times a week for 3 – 6 months.
